Tangled Up in Blue (or TUIB for short) was founded at Yale nearly forty years ago. We sing four-part harmonies with accompaniment on guitar, banjo, mandolin, and fiddle. Our repertoire ranges from Bob Dylan, to Brandi Carlile, to Valerie June and John Prine, not to mention 19th-century folk traditionals and Beyoncé’s “Daddy Lessons.” Nowadays, TUIB is putting an even greater emphasis on the excavation, documentation, and sharing of folk music histories, especially those that have been deliberately left out of the American folk “canon.” We love sharing our music with new friends and communities and are so excited to tour in California!
